Primary Report

Year 1/2 Class Report

We have been very busy this term working on presenting our understanding. We have been Collaborative Cams to present our understanding to others. We hosted the Week 5 Primary assembly with only a little bit of technical help from Miss Neu. After the assembly we reflected on what worked well (WWW) and even better if (EBI). We have made some more videos with Miss Neu’s help to show some of the other things we have been learning about.

Numeracy

We have been putting into practice some of the Mathematical Mindset we learnt about at the beginning of the year. Here is a video about Mindsets.

We have also been learning about shape.

Health and P.E

In Health and P.E, we have been looking at how the brain controls our body. We know that the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body. The Cerebellum controls our balance. We made a ‘Crossing the Midline’ video to help us develop our coordination.

Jump Rope for Heart

We have started to work on our skipping skills ready to perform on Jump Off day in Week 10. Here are some of the skills we have developed so far.

We’re skipping through the term!

Keep up the fantastic skipping! There are plenty of ropes in the JP foyer that you can borrow at break times.

It’s not long until our Jump Off Day on 30th of June, so keep on practicing those tricks. If you want to log your skipping to reach the school goal of 10 hours, there is still time. You can sign up online, it’s easy just follow this link and enter your details.
