Principal’s Report
Welcome back to learning in 2022. Our new normal is about effectively handling the constant changes around us, and I am pleased to note that both learners and staff have adapted quickly to new learning during these first two weeks. Those learning onsite have taken the changes in their stride, and nothing can suppress the sheer enthusiasm of Foundation learners as they immerse themselves in school for the first time. I want to express my sincere thanks to the caregivers of our new Foundation learners who have supported us through their interactions and modelling of social distancing.
The transition to hybrid learning was undertaken professionally by our teachers, and the support they have provided to caregivers to access online learning has been exceptional. Those learning from home have responded well to the changes in platforms and courses. While we are unsure what changes may occur next week, we are confident that we can continue to deliver quality instruction both onsite and online.
We have welcomed three new teachers to our learning community this term, and we are confident that they contribute to our improvement journey that places learners at the heart of our thinking. They are:
Maninder Bath - Y1/2
Rohie Griffiths - senior school
Jess Trott - Foundation
Finally, we have kept this newsletter short to avoid stretching our resources too thinly due to the demands of hybrid learning at this stage in the year.
