School Dresses & Skorts - EOI

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

QAS are seeking an expression of interest to add these items of uniform to our stock range. All information on the dresses is listed below, along with an option to stock navy blue skorts also. The school dresses are Australian made and take 8 weeks so please reply by email to dl.0793.finance@schools.sa.edu.au or call Sarah on 0884686101 by 31st October if you would be keen to purchase for your child/children. If there is enough interest, this will enable time to put in an order to be ready for parents and caregivers to purchase at the start of Term 1, 2026.  

Dresses would be sold for $60.00ea and skorts at cost of $16.00ea.

Spanish Expo 2.30pm Fri 31st Oct

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

During terms 3 and 4, our Year 3/4 and 5/6 Spanish classes have been on a journey around Latin America. We’ve made our way from Patagonia, through the Andes Mountains, to the Galápagos Islands and more, all while building our Spanish vocabulary and cultural understanding. We are wrapping up now with Mexico just in time for the Mexican holiday that falls on the 1st of November, Día de los muertos, a day of remembrance for loved ones who are no longer with us. 

In light of that, next Friday, 31 October, the 3/4 and 5/6 Spanish classes are hosting an expo to show off some of the amazing work they’ve done during Terms 3 and 4. As this falls on Halloween, we invite students from all Spanish classes to wear a costume to school if they would like to. We want to invite parents and caregivers to join us from 2.30 next Friday in the gym to see your learners’ fantastic work and decorations.

Reminder: Information Evening - 2026 Canberra Camp

Dear parents and caregivers,

This is a friendly reminder that there will be an information evening on Monday night regarding the 2026 Canberra camp for year 6 – 10 students.

Date: Monday October 20th, 2025 – week two, term four
Time: 6pm 
Location: Quorn Area School - Secondary Classroom GC4

During the session, we will share a proposed itinerary, estimated costs, travel and accommodation options, fundraising ideas and opportunities for parent involvement.

This meeting is a chance for you to ask questions, share thoughts, and help us decide whether to move forward with planning the camp, and a chance for us to gauge the level of interest in such a trip.

We would also like to form a fundraising committee to support lowering the overall cost of a camp.

Tomorrow is casual day and a lunch special subsided by the Parents & Friends Committee to celebrate the end of term for our learners & teachers. Please order ASAP on the spriggy app under the events tab or pop into the front office with $2.

The last day of term is Friday 26th Sept with early dismissal 2.05pm.
